Another Sunday down, got another nice batch after searching the market for not too long. Today's total was 80 SEK. Ended up with three lots, one from another plundered savings bank! Lot #1 cost me 20. For that I got these: 13 Indian Rupees Ł1.39 Some old Sweish change (basically scrap metal, that's how common they are) And miscellaneous coins in the lot. Lot #2 went for 10 SEK. Most interesting things here are the Netherlands Antilles 1 Gulden and Belize 5 Cents. And the treasure from the savings bank: For 50 SEK, not worth it in my opinion. But there's no way I can know that beforehand. That's called gambling, sometimes it pays and sometimes it doesn't. Can't be lucky everyday. Now gotta find some use for tha bank itself... See you in two weeks, I can't go next Sunday

Nice finds! I use same methods like you and it is like getting paid for coin collecting. It is not widely known here that some exchange offices takes coins too, so people throw many worth of €1-5 coins to 20 cent/ each bins. Also almost every bulk lot contains few excheangable coins what I have bought online.

Sadly no new finds today. There was a bunch of sellers but few had coins and the only ones I saw were either common as dirty or totally overpriced (or fake). Better luck next time?

Should have mentioned it earlier, but I couldn't make it to today's market simply because I was on a train from Oslo headed for Stockholm, it arrived quite late, past 4 PM, or as we would say it, 16 o'clock. I don't have anything special planned for next week, so Sunday market then! In Oslo I found a nice coin shop called "Numisma". Here's their website: https://www.numisma.no/shop/In there there was a whole bunch of gold coins, ancients, modern, a junk bucket (although too late, they had closed but forgot to lock the door when I stumbled in the second time, 20 minutes past closing time). Among the gold coins (Norweigan/Danish/Swedish/Finnish) there was a slabbed $20 gold coin, Saint Gaudens for only 10 500 NOK Didn't see what grade or TPG, but impressive nonetheless. I walked out with a 1915 Cuban 40 cent piece, 1917 Norweigan 10 řre, 1961 Săo Tome E Príncipe 5 Escudo piece and a 1947 Hungarian 5 Forint coin. Nice shop to look around in, tidy, spacious, coins well displayed, very large and varied inventory, highly recommended! I dunno. Thought I should bring a story since I have pics this time

Thanks for the Numisma link! Some pretty nice gold, and the US $20's are competitively priced. What I really like is the Scandinavian and Russian gold though. We don't see much of it in the US. French, Swiss, English, sometimes some German, but never Finnish 20 Markkas.

The dry spell continues! Today was another grey, dull day with heavy winds and drizzle. No finds to be found, this pasttime is very good weather-dependent, sadly. Better luck next time?

Yes! Better luck next time.
I think we all spend a lot of time hunting for coins. I haven't found anything for over a month, but I keep trying.
I hope you have better weather next week.
