First of all, nice little haul this weekend, X2an. Second, I personally appreciate the civility and the excellent comments in this discussion. Coins are a part of our history, history a part of our coins. We have to accept the bad with the good, or else we learn nothing.

I would much rather see Nazi coins in the hands of collectors than in a melting pot. 100 years from now when the survivors and their children are gone, we're going to such items as reminders.

It looks like you had another great day at the market! Nice pick-ups. I would like to add that I did appreciate your brief apology -- I honestly can't say why except certain symbols evoke certain feelings. What I really liked was this: Quote: I have talked about the doubtful morals about the nature of coins (or other items) issued under terror or terror-like regimes to another collector friend, and I think the key argument for buying them here is that if the state/group no longer exists, it won't do any direct harm buying these. That was well said and well thought out and I may quote you in the future.

I hope so, too.
Two Sundays without an update makes me a bit nervous.

Nono, everythings fine here. Didn't go last week, turns out I forgot to post anything I had a hard time to post anything yesterday and today since I had a very sudden trip over to Gothenburg that took up most of yesterday's and today's time. Couldn't access my account until now. Unless anything else comes inbetween I'll be going next Sunday's No need to worry

One week later and we're back. Today looked at first like it's was going to be nothing at all, considering the overlying rain and general drizzle. I was almost about to call it a day when I saw a seller preparing another fresh batch of coins. First come, first served! 10 Piastres, Lebanon 1961 20 Pence, UK 1982 20 Lekë, Albania 1996 1 Frank, Switzerland 1979 2 Forint, Hungary 1963 Silver Lucky Charm 5 Schilling, Austria 1960 1 Gulden, Netherlands 1957 20 Kroner, Denmark 1990 & 1999 20 kr for this batch with three silvers and some other goodies, it's nice to be back!

Very nice, always check here to see what you have found. How do you store your coins after you get them, have any problems organizing them before the next pickup?

Another Sunday down, another batch to come home. 1 Penni, Finland 1916 25 Öre, Sweden 1896 1 Rial, Iran (1361) 10 Sen, Malaysia 2013 2 Dinara, Serbia 2014 1 Lats, Latvia 1992 1 Frank, Switzerland 1987 1 Shilling, Kenya 2005 2 Litai, Lithuania 2008 1 Rupee, Mauritius 2010 Lovely batch for 20 kr! Favourites include the Malaysian 10 Sen and the Finnish Penni, later on cleaned properly to remove the yucky green stuffs Quote: How do you store your coins after you get them, have any problems organizing them before the next pickup? Considering the regular loads coming in, I'm used to deal with semi-quality coins in larger amounts so I have a somewhat good storage solution with plenty of trays for different countries in different eras with just a little extra space. Large scale additions are not good for that and usually require a reorganizations which becomes constantly trickier with more coins. But typically a few coins a week won't break capacity and they quickly yet efficiently get placed in their proper positions

Love that Finnish Penni. I hope it cleans up nicely for you. Finding a Swedish Ore from 1896 is pretty nice. I love the old one.
