I have a 1823 Gold Coin with Britannia on the tail. George 1111 as opposed to George1V. What is it?

well, first

can you post a picture?
The size and weight will also be helpful.

It may be a soverign or half soverign of George IV
1820-1830

but the requested info is important for a good ID.

It's probably George IV, as most of his coins use George IIII. I don't know exactly why.
Also, if it has Brittania on the tail, it's probably a gold-plated farthing altered to look like a half-sovereign, as farthings' size was close enough to half-sovereigns that they were often confused.
