Found this in a coin jar and couldn't identify it on the internet. Someone must have planned to mount it on a ring or pair of spurs as the one side had been ground flat. It's 11/16's of an inch in diameter and looks to be lady liberty facing left with 13 stars around the circumference. I'm curious and would appreciate any help in identifying it. Thanks.

Mike S.

That seems to be a Liberty nickel. What's on the other side?

The other side has been ground smooth which is why I thought someone planned to solder it to something as an ornament. It's also pretty thin which is why I mistook it for a dime. Thanks for the help.....mike s.
Rest in Peace

Perhaps someone was making a love token and gave up. The damage on the obverse is probably the result of the reverse getting sanded or whatever.

If you don't have any plans for that coin ... you could always get your initials engraved on it.
