Royal Canadian Mint - The raven is central to several First Nation traditions, and this coin celebrates its role in teaching the story of the northern lights. It's the third achromatic hologram coin the Mint has ever issued, and the first to go beyond a circular design! The hologram was produced using a patented nanotechnology-based method of producing three-dimensional non-coloured holographic elements. This advanced technology is also used on banknotes requiring exceptional security and detailed images. The hologram is not affixed to the coin, but struck microscopically into the coin's surface—stunning! 2015 1 oz Fine Silver Hologram Coin - A Story of the Northern Lights: The Raven

way too much money. $49.99 to $59.99 at most with today's spot silver value; I don't care how much futuristic technology they put into this coin.

Looks really nice! Blah why cant they drop the mintage to like 5000 or less? Sadly I likely wont buy it, I still have the dude northern lights coin the "hare" , I think they are selling for about 20% less then issue or more atm. Ugh nice coin though.

Quote: I still have the dude northern lights coin the "hare" why not to sell it for market price? Keeping un-wanted coin in collection it loss of money anyway.....I had some , that bought in rush - sold for 50% - 70% ...still money. Btw, for all "dudes" and not "dudes" - even hot in the past coins, people will not buy for the "market value" - they just do not want old (2 years and more) stuff

Plus it will take a long to do so. You see it in coin auctions and estate sales, coins go for fraction of issue price or catalog value.

Very nice coin. Will add to my collection of Northern Lights coins, but I can wait a year or two for the price drop on this one.

I liked the GITD, but, I agree about the design. It could have been a lot better.
