Stopped to get gas at Canadian Tire this morning and got this from the cashier - looks like CT25-3-4. A nice higher serial number with a catalogue value (older catalogue) of $2 in VF - can't retire, but a nice Sunday morning bonus

The art gallery I work at takes American money and Canadian Tire money as though it was straight up Canadian and I bought all the CT money awhile ago. I have 3 bills similar to that. Two 10s with serial numbers BW5236413 and BX7851877. I also have a 50 with serial number DY1250657. Can you tell me anything about them? The rest is all modern with no radar notes or anything special.

Sounds like both of those are likely a little later issue ('87) and more common. A photo would help as there are often differences in signatures, serial number size, colour and style as well as modifications to the note.

Sadly I don't have access to a scanner but you are right on. You know the back of the note, not the side with Sandy McTire but the side with the denomination and the Canadian Tire symbol? Mine says 1987 Canadian Tire Corporation on the top while yours has it on the bottom. Are you using that French catalogue you see advertising in the back of Canadian Coin News? I may pick one up.

All I have is The Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Tire Cash Bonus Coupons, second edition (1994), so it's not exactly up-to-date.
