As I was putting together my spreadsheet to track my $1 & $2 bills, I consulted with uspapermoney.info and checked with the Block and Group lists to put together my checklist. To start off with I want to collect a star note and a regular note from each BEP facility.

Do I read correctly that the only BEP facility that is currently printing $2 notes is Fort Worth?

Just checked their site and it looks like the last series $2.00 Notes printed in D.C. was the Series 1976, long before Fort Worth was built...
I also think the opening of Fort Worth reduced the BEP's pressure to print $1.00 Notes, and played a role in ending the Web-Press Notes.

I'm a little torn with this knowledge.

On one hand I'm happy that I don't have to source $2 notes and stars from DC for 1995, 2003, 2003A, 2009, and 2013. That's $20 in face value (and a lot more in market value for crisp examples) that I can put into filling some of the 1928 $2 USNs!

On the other hand, I don't get to collect 10 more $2 notes for a complete collection.

Life's little problems...

If you do find a '28B star, please tell me. That one right there will cost you thousands in toilet paper condition. In 2003, a VG+ example of one of those sold for $7475.

You'll be the first to know.

Yeah, unless something changes with my finances (i.e., I win the lottery), I probably won't be adding that guy to the collection.
