Something Is Really Off With This 1914 D, And 09-SVDB?

The mintmark is way too close to the date, the date in itself has that graininess to it. The reverse strike is way too high, note the raised rim.

Pictures are bad but the VDB on the reverse just seems to be crooked almost. The date is awfully suspicious. I don't really care if the mintmark aligns with the four different styles. The number font just looks too thin in my opinion. Not to mention the fields are free of scuffs/scratches/dings. G in "God" appears to have something occuring

CHD , They both look genuine to me. especially the 14-D. lets see what other members say.

I say the where the periods are on the 09 S VDB look suspicious.

You're too used to me posting altered dates...

There's quite a bit of counterfeit 1914D cents that exist, altered or not.

"B" in "Liberty" is one of the key indicators.

The 1914 looks just fine to me. I would buy it without a worry.

Due to the poor photo conditions, I can't judge the 1909 cent; could go either way.
