Hey, so I got this from my mom.
Its a series 2009 100 dollar bill. It has the serial number of
LL 88888867 D. Now I know that 8 is a lucky number in Asian cultures. there's 6 "8s" on this one. Comes in the red folder from BEP, so how much you guys think this one is worth? just curious...

$108.

Kidding....that's a lot of 8's and probably has a decent premium, but I wouldn't be able to hazard a guess. There are a couple similar out there on ebay but they're asking crazy prices. At least crazy IMO.

CelticKnot, thanks for the reply. Now do you think I should have it graded? I'm new to currency/ coin collecting. Not a lot of knowledge here (19 years old).
Rest in Peace

I would not remove it from the current holder. Don't clean!

I would just keep it and not worry about it's value. Put it away securely, so as to keep any 'friends' from accidentally spending it.

Welcome to CCF, where we welcome questions from people new to a wonderful hobby!

I personally don't think it's worth tying up $100 to hold on to this note. It's two digits off, and even old large-size notes in CU that are off two digits don't bring a premium.
