Sounds like a good deal to me. I like putting rolls od Canadian silver away. For me the cool part is that a dollars worth of pre 1966 has .6oz actual silver. So that makes it easy to know how much silver per roll. Roll of dollars = 12oz. Roll of Halves = 6oz. Roll of quarter = 6oz. Roll of dimes = 3oz. For your roll of quarters you paid less then $14 per oz. To me that is a good deal

Even more fine because that is less than melt!

You should plaster your PO above her land line, or engrave it on her cell.

Realllly lucky. Where I live all the banks tell me they will not even accept Canadian coins. I've been looking for a long time now trying to fill my Canadian Cent Album and no luck. Even at most coin shows no one has them. Guess I'll have to contact China and have them make me some.

I get Canadian cents in the drawer every single day. I usually just leave them but if there is a "demand" for them I'll start pulling them out and make rolls for people.

Being in Washington state we sell 2 Loons for $1 to people planning to travel to Canada. Sellers are glad to get $$ for loons they're not using and for the frugal traveler it's a great deal.

Sounds like a nice deal. I moved your topic so the Canadians can get a look and maybe offer some additional opinion.

If you can collect a large amount of toonies or loonies, especially with the favourable exchange rates, make a short trip into Canada, it's really wonderful place to visit in summer and fall.
