There is a new TPG service here in Indiana; I gave them a chance because of proximity and knowing that my coins were not going far. Also, they understand how hard it will be to break into the market so their services are priced accordingly. I found that they are very honest and seem very reliable. I expected to get cheap slabs with MS70 pasted on them, but I was severely mistaken. I did get a 63 though and cannot argue with a single grade. What really sold me on them was that I got a Morgan dollar returned ungraded because it was not genuine. I had had that coin for years and thought they must be crazy. So, I took it to a submission center and I'll be darned if PCGS didn't say the same thing. I won't question those guys again. Anyway their name is CCGS and their number is 765-361-9908. I used their info for my signature to try to give them a leg up. I really hope that they do well because I am a firm believer in healthy competition and these guys will be good for the hobby.

Contender implies being a challenge to the current title holder. Best of luck in your endeavors as this post will be deleted within 5 minutes anyways. I'll light a candle for you.

Thank you for your reply! But, I don't understand what you mean, why would it be deleted? I read in the header that this forum should be used to discuss other TPG's as well and thought I would contribute.

Because you are pitching a TPG instead of asking questions about them. It's called spamming

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. This is my first day here and I thought that we were supposed to share experience and that others might like to know about these guys. I guess I misunderstood the method here...seriously, I apologize.

I'll let this thread stand for 24 hours even though I do believe it is spam.... on one condition. The proof is in the pudding. Let's see some photos of these good grades and slabs. Instead of just throwing a phone number and address at us how about some proof? quote: So, I took it to a submission center and I'll be darned if PCGS didn't say the same thing
Far as I know, PCGS is in California, a pretty good haul from Indiana.

LOL, that outfit looks like someone slabbing in his momma's basement. If they were legitimately attempting to enter the TPG market, they would have their own proprietary slabs custom made. But no, they use snap apart generic Coin World holders that ANYONE can purchase and labels printed on a home computer. Also, I found this very telling from their website that throws up all kinds of red flags regarding fraud- "Note to our customers: We no longer accept credit cards or paypal payments. Please use cash or money order. Thank you, CCGS management."I am surprised that they don't ask for bank routing numbers too Also, nothing is mentioned about Indiana- their listed address is in Michigan.

Why does this seem like deja vu to me. I could swear I read almost this same pitch a few months back. Hmmmm I guess we'll have to wait for philney to reply and post some pictures. The link Amazon posted certainly does not bode well for them right now.

I am, to say the least, bothered that these people are branching out and grading coins for others. For your information, philney, CCGS is the "self-slabbing" arm of a specific Ohio ebay coin dealer - albeit one with a brick-and-mortar presence, as well - who originally just sold coins of their own in CCGS slabs. I own a couple. In those days, they were merely, um, enthusiastic about the grades they'd assign. I note that recently they've become NARU at ebay, and their website is down. Now, here's CCGS, apparently in Michigan instead of Ohio (Why would you say Indiana, philney?), poorly grading coins for the general public. Furthermore, according to their website, they've stopped taking CC/Paypal and want cash or money order only. Not encouraging.

If you Google Globe the address from their web page, it looks residential to me.
