That can was made in the 1930's. Yep, 85 years old and it looks like it just came off the line. They can be worth quite a bit of money depending on label and scarcity, just like coins.

This is the only old beer can I have. It is still unopened. It says "Our 159th Year" so do the math to see how old it is.

How I got started was back in the early '80s the bank started offering $0.75 for a roll of pennies. At the same time a local flea market dealer was selling "unsearched" wheat rolls for the same thing. I came up with the genius idea of buying the wheat rolls, searching for "valuable" cents, and selling the rest to the bank. I bought myself a RedBook to know what was worth keeping, and a photograde to know what they were worth, and I've been addicted since! As for Beer cans, I have a few, along with a few other collections....... YES, I AM A PACKRAT!!

I'm a bit opposite. For example someone I knew once gave me a can of beer he had in his refrigerator for a long, long time. Really odd since it was a half gallon can. Naturally I opened it and tried it out. Was really bad. Bought an old oil type lamp. Really old. So naturally filled it with lamp oil and lit it. WAS almost new but not after I messed it up. Found an antique sewing machine table at a flea market. Made it into a bench grinder. Except for coins, guns, knives and cars, just not a fan of old stuff.

From my grandfather. Moved over to paper money after finding his book of bills after he passed away years back and fell in love with all things paper. I had no clue he did anything with paper money because my assumption was he was always a coin guy.
