1844 RPD

Sorry for another newbie question.

I while back I purchased an 1844 RPD. On the reverse of the holder the original owner had these annotations:

1844-RPD

I understand the 1844 RPD, but what, if anything, do the others mean? Are they variation designations, or just the collectors inventory notes.

Sorry if this was a dumb question.

my guess it is dealer notes because it would say fs or Newcomb if it was a large cent not sure what kind of coin u got or what var it is there are so many rpds
