http://www.ebay.com/itm/1914-D-1C-L...em4aefbdb885Probably from the site we aren't supposed to talk about. The B looks like a blob almost, and the color and detail really just doesn't match. I know, bad pictures, but the weak relief on the obverse is one of the giveaways.

Nothing that screams fake to me. If they are fakes then they're good ones.

Still new at this fake spotting so correct me if I'm wrong ... On the 1909 I thought the dot looks too close to the 'D'. It lines up almost touching the right edge of the 'D', shouldn't it be more centered between the 'D' and the 'B'?

Quote: Still new at this fake spotting so correct me if I'm wrong I can't tell from the crappy pictures. The obvious flags are the portrait relief, the date, the MM and what appears to be an artificial toning process. I'm 99% that MM is the same one I've seen on a ton of fakes, it looks more like mirror image Z than an S.

I wonder why sellers just don't have them authenticated. Would sell faster.

This seller is selling several counterfeit coins as you can see in their inventory.
I'm now 100% certain.
