We received these rolls from a customer at our coin shop in downtown Vancouver USA who wanted to cash them in for gold and silver coins. Our hunch is these were already hunted as we didn't find any 90% JFKs or 40% for that matter. Cashing them in was a challenge when dumping into the bank's coin machine all was well until $906 when the machine jammed. Ugh! 20 minutes later all ended well.

Nothing unusual about that. All JFK halves have been searched over and over again. It's when Grandpa's cigar box full of silver halves gets dumped into the mix is when we get lucky!

Yeah in the half dollar CRH thread there was one individual who I believe was on a 30 something no-silver box streak.

Your best bet I think is getting boxes from high populations more people more chances of someone dumping silver....I live in a highly populated area in NY so I rarely don't find at least 1 silver per week

Unless the rolls we recrimped by hand on one end which would be an indication that they were already searched you pretty much have 2 boxes of halves that were pretty much also someone searched and dumped but machine rolled which is the norm.

Yes finding silver JFK halves from the bank is rare. I don't even buy boxes of halves anymore. You have better luck just picking up what the teller has in their till. A couple of weeks ago I bought $7.50 in halves and found a 64 (90%) and 3 (40%) kennedy's. Now that made my day.
