We always do a side by side comparison of a coin believed to be an error with a similar coin.

nwplaza, wrong. This is not how CCF would like how this is done.
Lets see what Mods have to say.

nwplaza is a coin shop, so we would probably be the people that own the store.

It's tuff to say on these minor ones I have found depending on my light source I can make a normal coin look like a DDO I have to be very careful to make sure I don't fool myself.

tweek800 I know what you mean , the way I look for errors is I use my portable microscope first to find erro and the I put it on my digital microscope , yes playing with the light but only to show everybody what I saw on it with regular light nothing more. there would be no point in trying to make an error that is not there right?

No I agree to not try to make an error but sometimes I want it to be there so badly that overlook the cause of what I'm seeing I have one I'm about to post right now that Idk so I took extra pictures with different angles youll see cause IDK if I'm tricking myself haha. Yours definately has split serriffs on the inside hook of the 6 and on the U , bottom of S and the T I was just saying be careful with the lighting cause you can trick yourself

tweak800, lucky for us we have coop here that when we make a mistake or think that we have an error he would let us know what we have. You must know how frustrating it is to see something and not been able to put it on a picture to upload. Thanks for looking at in first place and responding .

The notching is present and that alone indicates a doubled die. It is a minor DDO.

I agree with BJ on this one. It is a minor doubled die. When we take image to closely, then anything looks like something. I try to put at least 3-5 devices in my images. It tells us more than just one device in the image. You might try diffusing your light source, then the glare would be removed a bit and not be a problem.
