I believe this dupondius of Trajan. The size seems right for a dupondius and the portrait is obvious enough, but the wear makes it difficult to pin down an exact type. Again...from an uncleaned lot. Can anyone see details that I'm missing?

I don't see a radiate crown so I believe it's an AS.

I do believe you are correct, Echi. Your eye-for-detail proves most helpful once again!

The dupondius and the As are of the same size (aprox.), but ancient romans usually weared the emperorīs head whith a radiate crown for the dupondius and with a laurel crown for the asses...
This was a common practice after the first emperors (with some exceptions..)
