I've been doing some research, Kid. I see what you were talking about. You are right, The Master Die Doubling alone carries no premium. I found this beautiful 1972-D Doubled Die penny, and it's only worth about face value because there are so many of them. If I am correct there are some DD,s for the year that do carry a premium, though. The link Cwb posted here shows the good ones.
Every time I think I'm getting educated, I realize how ignorant I am. I don't think there is an end to it, but I sure wouldn't want to go back to the start point.
