Haha, I love the title. But do you think this is Die Deterioration?

Kid. I see many of these and wondered a bit if there's a hint of the master hub doubling too.

I don't see a doubled die on either coin. Here are some photos I have of 1972 doubled dies: http://www.lincolncentsonline.com/dd51.html
You can click on any of the pictures to see more about that doubled die.

Kid, you're a poet, and don't even know it. As for a doubled die, the coin don't show it.

Hahha coinmaster. Nice.

As for the longacre doubling. Would this support the 1st theory?

Longacre designed some coins. His design appeared as doubled. Some say he did it on purpose.
Rest in Peace

Good pictures! Work on your lighting (peruse previous topics) and hopefully the cheap microscope will work until you decide you need THAT in your pictures.

Master die doubling. A large percentage of the 1972 cents from all three mints has this type of doubling:

Thanks for this post Kid. I just found one, (like the one in Coop's pics). This is a fairly easy Doubled Die to find. It's always nice turning pennies into dollars. I'll take some pics and post it soon.

I wouldn't keep it. Most of them have master hub doubling.

I will keep all I can find, Kid. Pennies to dollars is quite a mark up. Just five bucks is 500%, where else can you find a return like that? I too, stack silver, but as long as there are dollars, I stack them too.

You continuously impress me, KId. I think you will do very well in life. Somehow, I think it will be coin-related. A coin-related career runs quite a gambit. It could include anything from reaching the hyper-status of a Mike Diamond, to standing on a city street corner with a cup. lol

Thank you very very much! Hopefully when my knowledge of coins is greater, and my grading skills better, I could be a pcgs/ngc grader! And slowly climb my way to the top. Hahah. And if all else fails, sell the valuable coins I get from people to my lcs. Lets hope I don't travel that path though.
