Im pretty sure that one would call this an interior die break. It is one smashing die break! WOW! Look at this, amazing. Fairly common though because of how they they overused the dies in the fifties. PS-Verdicare really helped this coin! PPS-I grade this at AU58+

Great looking coin!! There are a number of listings on Cuds-on-Coins for 1955 RIDB & IDB's but none have the two markers I see on your coin "Die Crack on the coat & the two die chips on the left wheat. . I'll send BJ an email and ask him to look at it. If your coin has a die chip on the T in CENT it could be a match for Jean Cohen's 55-S4.

It is a mixture of retained die breaks and die breaks. It would be new and listable on cuds-on-coins.com if you would like me to list it.
