I think they were made in wood as low-value emergency money, because at the time the people were able to work with wood but did not have the facilities to work with metal. I have some notgeld made from silk and some others made from porcelain. I have heard of notgeld cins made from compressed coal dust with some kind of binder. I keep looking for one of these but have no luck yet. Report this Post to the Staff
