The most obvious giveaway on the Flowing Hair dollar is the presence of rim and beads, plus the details are wrong. If you look at a real Flowing Hair dollar, it has denticles that extend to the edges of the coin, no rim. It's got something to do with collars, but I can't remember what exactly. Trade dollars weren't minted yet 1797, they started in 1873. This one looked pretty convincing to me until I noticed the date. Report this Post to the Staff
