Hi. This 1999 D looked like a wide but the odds are not good, I think. Its just die deterioration? Any input will be helpful. Thanks!

Looks to be a Close AM. Member COOP has a great image that will show how the "A" in states will be centered between the both "T" in states for a Wide AM and off center for a Close AM. I dont wanna break any rules by posting his pictures, but I am sure he will chime in and post it.

It's a CAM. WAM's from Denver are not possible after 1996, and so far unknown before 1997.

As mentioned before the "M" on AME would be centered if it were a Wide AM and to the left for a Close AM.

The same is true for the 1998-2000 business strike cents.
The 1998-S & 1999-S Proof cents should be Wide AM's. But these years also has a Close AM. (which are not normal)
