Sure beats lead soldiers!
Do they have a ".925" or "stg sil" mark on them?

They are pretty cool...not necessarily $53 cool. Contains 1.25oz of silver so thats like 34$ over spot.

Just wait for two-ounce .999 silver Matchbox cars!

I jest, but this is a neat idea. If I can someday for a lower price, I'll pick up a silver sarge soldier (what a tongue twister!).
Rest in Peace

Seems like a cool idea but you just know that you're going to want to play with them.

Then they will tarnish.

I've thought of making these before only way more blinged out, I'd just need some plastic soldiers and a day to kill. Ignore the markup, that is what it costs to make novelties like this, nobody is going to work for free, especially not for stackers.

The unethical part of this is that they are using models that were made by somebody else many decades ago and just copying it without modifications. They really ought to pay a royalty to the original makers of the green toys.

I have molds for these and others that I used to use to cast tin soldiers. Problem is, the molds are aluminum so would not stand up to the heat of casting silver; I suppose steel would be the best material to make the molds from. I'm not sure that would be easy to find so lost wax casting might be the best way to go, even if it is much more effort.

I can't imagine why an item made from a mould would rise in value over time...? Anyone can just make "counterfeits" of these.
