Here's my setup:

Camera-Setup

I use a camera stand rather than a tripod.
A tripod leg was always getting in the way.
But currently I'm only using one light source, not two.

LIGHT - OTT-LITE with a 13w "white light" tube.
CAMERA - Nikon D90
LENS - Nikkor 60mm f1:2.8 micro

Hmmmm, don't know how I managed to separate this from the original post, "Opinions Wanted on How Well I've Learned Coin Imaging".
But here's the basic info about my setup.

kanga great setup. LIGHT - OTT-LITE with a 13w "white light" tube. this is the most natural white light one can purchase. here in the province where I live these lights are 149.00 Canadian a piece.. I asked the manger will these come on sale. he said just before Christmas 50% off. think I will grab a pair of these. like your setup they light the coins very evenly . kanga you are doing excellent work. like your images. I can tell you thou if you ever want to try a bellows and can find a Minolta 100mm f4 bellows lens. they are great very easy to focus and very fast. if you are doing a lot of coins. have a great one
