Rainbow toning might add value on an earlier LWC, but probably not on something after 1940 or so (when mintages became gigantic) unless you find a specialist.

I paid for fun and have had some fun. Good deal I think.
I purchased some shotgun rolls from US and received a bunch of fun coins to research. 1937s & 1945 micro s Mercury dimes + 13 × red wheat pennies as well as the usual brown suspects.

to CCF. That coin has great eye appeal so IMHO it adds value.

Beautiful coin. I think this color definitely adds to the appeal. It certainly won't hurt the value.

I personally love the way pennies tone like that! If I had to chose between a plain red one from that year and yours it would be yours in my collection hands down.

Thank you to all who have commented. Nice to have someone to share with other than driving the wife around the bend.

I collect toned coins and I feel this would certainly add value. Depending on the grade I would even send this one in.
