I believe the mark on the head is a die scratch.
And I think the feature on the wheat ear is a lamination.

Interesting coin.

Your coin could be a match to Cohen's 55-S6 "Cracked Skulls section". It's hard to match all the markers on the obverse because it's "well circulated coin".

wouldn't this be more of a "hair barrette" variety than a cracked skull?
