Look at the lines which are not incused,
like die cracks. All in a parallel direction.
In the grooves of the Northern Lights rays.
A couple of spikes coming out of the bottom.
Check it out and let me know what you think.

Looks to me like the Mint did some die polishing.

I usually classify this type of marks as tool marks or tool damage.

Just looking at the northern lights grooves and the tool marks
being in the deepest part of the groove, that would be a raised
part of the die above the field. The tool would file across the
raised northern light ray and be transferred to the coin face,
inside the ray(s) and to the adjacent field where the file marks
end.

Trying to recreate the sequence of events in the run up to the
strike to get this result.
