Hello, I am new to this entire website. I have had an amazing opportunity to obtain a 1945 Missing Chrome nickel, in MS64. I was wondering how many people think got through without the chrome plating and how many are still in this condition.

I have found a little information online, and only found a 63 but couldn't find a 64.

I'm just looking for some thoughts and ideas about what you think
Thank you

Not sure what you paid for it,
but Coins and Canada listing for a 1945 no chrome nickel
in MS64 is $160.00 Canadian.
Nice find in that grade.
Do you have pictures?

Um yeah I got some pictures but idk how to like use them with my computer and upload them and what not, sorry. And it was graded by a reputable dealer from the city that I live in and it was for sure not $160 that I paid, I got it for a lot cheaper. Would you know of any number figures for the higher grades?

There was a 1945 missing chrome nickel graded MS65 that sold on ebay for $307.00.
There is no way of telling how many were produced.

Someone on this forum said that ICCS no longer grades no-chrome coins as they feel that there may be many undetectable fakes.
