lrbguy Pillar of the Community United States 949 Posts	Posted 09/18/2015 5:20 pm If the color is accurate (grayish) then this could be a cast copy. It is of an early Byzantine follis for Maurice (582-602) from the mint at Nicomedia, year 5. The original coin was copper/bronze so why it would be a copy is not clear. It is entirely probable it is an original with mushy details, but the color does not look right on my monitor. Report this Post to the Staff
