I'm beginning to think these are really not as scarce as Spink would lead one to believe. I see them more and more frequently as I try to search out a sixpence with this portrait. This one I picked up as a "bonus" in a two coin lot. Obviously someone didn't like the monarchs (big x scratch mark) and yet it was holed? No idea why it was holed in a place where neither side is upright when held. Any thoughts as to what happened or why? It is just a hole filler until I can find a sixpence.
