Neo13x, no need to buy new airtites, just transferred the ones I had into this album. I did buy some more for coins that I did not have them in already. And I agree, it is a little more costly to use airtites and this new album, but so far I am very happy with them. Time will tell how they well the albums will hold up, but they seem to be well designed.

Crusherjc that is NICE~!! I am also a fan of these air tite albums as I have three of them so far. I have the same one as you for the 90% silver State Quarters and both type set albums. I will try to take some pictures someday of mine but every time I have tried so far the flash is too bright on my proofs so they are not photographing so well. And JBuck...the next one I am planning on ordering is for the Eisenhower dollars My 1900 - 2000 type set album is finished so I will try pics again soon. My Ike set is far from a registry set tho but I like it. Almost all my albums are also Danscos but these are also very nice as you can see. Again..... Great set crusher!! Congrats!

Opps forgot, I have been working on my Jefferson nickle album, bought a box of 250 direct-fit airtites for 74.95, which breaks down to .30cents each. not to bad!

That's a fine looking set up and good protection. Thank you for posting, I would definitely like to use it. I would jump on it if they had one for the type set. Maybe in the future!!

I know what you mean. For the longest time, my Jefferson nickel album was worth more than the coins it contained. That changed after I added a page for the proofs. Until that time, it always felt a little weird. This is why I would only use this for a high end set.

I'm really liking these albums and so glad crusherjc recommend them to me in another thread. So far I've picked up the ATB /w proofs vol1 and Ike /w proofs albums and should soon have the Franklin album on its way to me. There are expensive (and extremely large) so my acquisition of them will be slow but for me the piece of mind of storing in airtites is worth it. I have a few empty Dansco's that I had bought but not started to fill yet that will probably be for sale soon.

I've got all the U.S. Circulating Coins in Dansco albums and just switched my complete Kennedy collection to the caps Kennedy album. I don't care what these caps albums cost because they are saving all my coins. In my opinion the Dansco albums have destroyed most of my proofs. I am totally in love with these albums. The caps uses standard Air-Tites and the only downside is they are very hard to removed once inserted into the page.

This approach to storage / display does not really lend itself to hammered or ancient coins due to their irregular flan shape.
That can be somewhat of a pity, if you really wish to protect these classes of coins in a humid climate.

Thanks for the review Crusherjc. Between your review and some of the other comments, I went ahead and ordered one and received it and now I am hooked.
