To each their own. I enjoy CRH, but I've also expanded to enjoy junk bin searching at LCS and also instead of filling folders through CRH, I've started albums of sets that can only be fillled though purchases.
I like to think of CRH as buying lotto tickets, but worst case you get a full refund and more than instant satisfaction

Nice finds! Keep in mind, CRH is better than gambling (you cannot lose, only win) and will always be more productive than dealing with psychics and other scam artists (you always lose).

Jbuck, technically you can lose because the gas you pay to go to the bank+time spent which can be used to work at a job at $7.25 an hour(At least for U.S.A). Still CRH is really fun and I love the thrill of it.

I cant lose. I know what to look for, and it costs me nothing. I legally can't have a job, and I walk to the bank.

I love everything about CRHing, down to the dirty fingers & that funny smell! I tend to average 1 wheatie per 3-4 rolls (12-16 per box). Just lucky I guess.

Quote: Jbuck, technically you can lose because the gas you pay to go to the bank... Not if you make it part of your regular errands. So, plan ahead. If you were not doing this, you might just be sitting on the couch watching people play Minecraft on YouTube (Shout-out to DanTDM). But yes, the losses exist, but are avoidable.

Quote: Why do you do this? It has been explained to you in the thread you created and asked this question as well as every other thread you ask in. https://goccf.com/t/240415Quote: Coin frog has an opinion/position that's valid against a different paradigm. Nothing wrong with that at all. No, but he/she keeps asking int he "Coin Roll Hunting" forum the same thing which is getting to the point of absurdity and pretty much trolling every coin roll hunter by trying to say "You're doing it wrong!" It is getting kind of annoying actually, like PETA throwing paint on someone wearing fake fur. It is like they want people to stop roll hunting as the mission for being in this section of the forums?

The aim of my post (the quote from the other thread) was to remind folks that there are two sides to every coin and that while we may not agree with the other side, we should be tolerant and respectful. It does get increasingly harder to show 'passive indifference' when seemingly some members would rather keep forcing their paradigm as the only paradigm. I think you've shown reasonable restraint, so I can't fault you on your tactics. Hopefully your approach will yield a better result than mine!

You mean you don't identify CRH as a profession and take a tax write off for all expenses related thereto, including for your home office used to CRH, the microscope, magnifying glass, and lights for variety identification, your computer and ISP cost for variety identification and research, and appropriate deductions for use of your car to travel to myriad banks for getting and dumping coins?
Yeah, me neither. I need a better accountant.
