start at the dot after 900 the first symbol designates something along the line of reagal year then the date starts it is the next 3 symbols I think the first symbol is 5 the cross-like symbol is ten this means to multiply by 10 so 50 and the two lines is two. so year 52 (unless I have it backwards... then year 25) not sure what ruler just learning myself and do not have my notes with me

anyhow looks like 25th year of Emperr Mutsuhito or 1892.

Now is it real or not?

I believe your coin is from the Meiji era and is dated 1896. The Gin (silver symbol) chop on the left side of the reverse is from the Osaka Mint. You can see an example here:

you have the revers side of the coin upside down, so the countersatmp is from Tokyo mint.

the Osaka counterstamp (placed on the left side of the reverse) or the Tokyo counterstamp (placed on the right).
Tokyo-counterstamped silver yen coins are significantly rarer and generally sell for higher prices than do Osaka-counterstamped coins.
