1987 Youth Bowling Set - Coin Community Forum

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21609 Posts	Posted 09/23/2015 2:53 pm Just purchased this off of Kijiji. Coins are business strike except for Nickel Dollar which is Specimen. Looks like it was some sort of award for Youth Bowling Council. Has anyone seen this set or does anyone have any info on it? Just curious as to what I have. Report this Post to the Staff

oasis Valued Member Australia 138 Posts	Posted 09/23/2015 7:32 pm I have seen this set before, I received one when I was 10 and in youth bowling! I'm pretty sure we received these sets for selling chocolate bars which was our annual fundraiser. This kind of prize ran for a few years as I remember sets with loonies in them as well. Lots would have been issued but as they went to young kids most would have been broken up and spent. The coins were just glued into that promotional holder. Report this Post to the Staff
