Hello guys

I recently got to look threw a box of old silver my grandfather had saved from circulation over the years ..
One of the better coins I found was this 1938 quarter ..
The coin still has a decent amount of luster , not sure if there is enough there for it to make AU though ..
It's a 14 dollar coin in ef40 and triple that in AU50 .
So what would you guys grade this old Washington ?

I'd say it's close to AU50. Easy EF45.

I see luster, which means EF-45 minimum. Probably an AU-50.
Rest in Peace

I'm in at XF45. It's a nice old Washington. By the way, did you know the 1932 Washington quarter was a commemorative coin?

Thanks guys
Ya know thats what I thought as well EF 45..
This was the oldest Washington out of all them , they were plenty of 63s and 64s all were at least AU..
I enjoyed getting to look threw them , I had also found several dimes most 50s early 60s .. There was a 63 that I really liked , it was in an old leather change purse .. My grandfather said the contents was what his father had in his pocket when he passed in 1990 .. So this old dime had sit in that old change purse for the past 25 years ... Not much value , maybe AUish but a nice piece ...

XF45 solid. They just get more difficult to find in higher grades as they highly circulated in the 30's.
