Greetings everyone! I have already made a few posts on the forum since I didn't realize there was an "Introduce Yourself" section. So far everyone has been extremely helpful and kind which I love to see on online discussion sites.
I started collecting when my dad went to the bank and got 10 rolls of pennies for us to go through and see if there were any that we needed in his old Whitman coin folder. After going through all 10 rolls he would replace the pennies we took out, take the rolls back to the bank, and then get a new set of rolls. After a few years we had most of the wheat pennies filled out. He was never a big fan of going out and buying coins since he enjoyed the searching aspect the most, so I didn't go to that many coin shows. Now, years later, I'm an active searcher on ebay and at local coin shows trying to fill in the gaps in my collection. I've branched out from wheat pennies to pretty much all 20th century US denominations though wheat pennies remain my favorite. I have also recently begun collecting older (pre-1800) European coins and exonumia.
