I've been remiss in my scanning and posting star notes; for my 2018 resolution is: get organized, scan, and post. Here we go: ====================

Got something to add here. Nothing spectacular. It will not even lay flat, but still made me smile when I got it in my lunch change.

Some real eye candy on this thread. Now promise not to laugh, but these are harder to find than one might expect, and some collectors don't even know they exist.

Well, now, that's interesting, Steve. Same rules apply for food stamps (i.e., they're replacement notes for notes misprinted or damaged in production)?

I would have never believed that the old school food stamps would of had a star serial number until now! Another of the never ending reasons why this is the best forum hands down! I learn something new here every day. Thank you for posting those SteveInTampa

Quote: Steve, same rules apply for food stamps (i.e., they're replacement notes for notes misprinted or damaged in production)? Yes, they were printed as replacements. There's a great article printed and available online to members of the SPMC (which I recommend you join) in the May/June 2011 issue of Paper Money magazine written by Peter Huntoon & Tom Conklin.
