Say I have 100.00 in euros in various denominations, 1 euro cent, 2 euro cent, 5 euro cent, etc. How and where do I send euros (and other countries' current coins) to get back a percent in US dollars.

For conversion rates, the easiest way is to Google it.

Banks, in most cases, do the exchange for the lowest fees.
Exchange booths at airports usually have the highest fees, because they have a 'captured' market.

Unfortunately I do not know of any money changer that will accept Euro coins for change, but will nevertheless give out homeland coins to an exact balance, in exchange for Euro notes.

Try cashing them in at one of those coin exchange booths they have at the airport.

Does anyone know if Currency Exchanges accept coins? I'm planning on getting $400 in Canadian loonies and toonies next week and want to change them back to US currency before I come back across the border the same day.

I know I shouldn't have too much trouble getting the coins at banks for US currency, but I'm worried I won't be able to get my US money back. (PS: I have no Canadian accounts)

You need to call around and ask. I can exchange Canadian bills at my bank (perks of living close to the border), but they don't take change. I found a small mall kiosk that will exchange coins, but it needs to be full rolls and they take a larger percentage for their trouble.

Put them on ebay or find a bank that does currency exchange. You will get charged a fee to use currency exchange to convert them to US money. ebay you could get more than the current exchange rate if you are lucky.

Or of course if you have any European friends coming over who might exchange them for you. I recently did similar for a German friend who had some old UK bank notes that were long out of circulation. We have a system here that they can be returned to the Bank of England , with a form, and within a week I was sent a cheque for the full amount.
Most exchanges won't take coins, that might be your problem.

E-Bay is probably your best bet. I have seen some of the prices go past the exchange rate. Especially if you happen to have some nice looking ones.

Have you identified any of them? If you are interested I might be interested in taking some off you hands. I could send a list.

I have found that casinos offer good exchange rates if you happen to be near one.

xe.com is a great site for figuring out exchange rates, but remember - those are interbank, electronic rates. So today, your 100 Euros is 'worth' US$111.972.

When it comes to physical currency, most places won't touch coins. Even for bigger bills you get a lot less because of the difficulty and expense of moving it around. And you need a business that does enough business - otherwise that 1 euro cent will sit around for years gathering dust.
