I was surprised to see that not much was sold from Sept 25 auction and sorry I missed out some buys is this a bell weather of the coin market these days or is it typical this time of year?

This sale was full of NCLT except for maybe 1 issue a year now everything else goes to half values as this sale shows, only the masterfull Home Shopping guy leads you to believe everything from the mint goes up in value. As everyone knows at the moment only the best and rarer coins sell and maintain values at auction, sometimes too. Good time to be a knowledgeable buyer.

TCNC has also left "icollector" and went to their own site to run the auctions. It saves them a bit of a percentage but they don't get as much "walk up" traffic as it's their own site and people are only directed there if you're on their mailing list.

In my opinion and past recollections, this is almost the norm for most TCNC auctions. Much of stock is their own stuff. In many collector's eyes, they are not noted for their business accumen.

I did not find much to be excited about in their last couple of auctions

I think it was a lot of high start prices and lack of bidders. I bought a couple vickie cents at the minimum bid price, which I thought was a bit cheap, but held off on other items due to start price.

NCLT seemed to be going pretty cheap, but I am not familiar enough with them to make an educated bid.

The interesting part was the 20/20, 100/100 bidding, I think all them went for below FV after fees. I bid on a few, but the "free money" gain was not worth the time it would take to cash it in, I would guess the winners probably made about 3-5% on their purchases from this series. Too bad for the seller, they probably lost 20% for what could have been a quick trip to the bank.

Some nice coins, but high minimum bids likely discouraged bidders.
