real good deal . silver looks cleaned , copper and nickel
does not look cleaned . You did good.

You didn't do good, you did fantastic. Makes me want to go to Germany too. Could never find deals like that right here in the USA.

I was really surprised to find these at my local show.
Classic U.S coins, besides Morgans, have become very scarce at german shows. I guess they have all been picked out by now. Morgans, yes, many dealers here still have those.
The silver is cleaned, I knew that. But the nickel is quite nice, and I almost went by without picking it up. Glad I had my Red Book with me. The dealer wanted 12 euros for it, but let me have for 10 ($ 11).

These coins were probably brought over from a trip to the US in the 1890's. Incredible how this stuff ends up in foreign countries and in the condition too.

That B in liberty on the V nickel looks weird, but still an easy $100+ USD coin. (90-100 euro?)

I am really enjoying the 1894 Nickel. Here are close-up pictures.
How would it grade? I have really no experience with these modern coins.
