I have a DDO obvere 1942D quarter, but the doubling is not as shown in PCGS. I have not seen discussion of other varieties of '42D DDO quarters. ?

My DDO is doubled in the motto: the first T in TRUST begins under the I of IN. The top of the T is clearly visible, the bottom is not. This is not like a halo image, but nearly a separate T. The font of this T looks different than in the motto. There is something (I can't figure out what) above the motto, like this coin has been struck before, then rotated to obscure the strike. The coin exhibits toning, which might make the doubling more difficult to see. Please comment.

to CCF. A close up would help us see if it is a DDO or some other type of doubling like MD.

Your pardon, all. This is not a T, as indicated before. I see now that what I thought was a T is actually part of an N, located under the I and N of IN. Still DDO

N is under IN, left of TRUST. N starts halfway through I.
