found this one but am unsure how rare it is. **link removed by staff. Not family friendly**the best part... Quote: This is an ULTRA RARE Buffalo Head Nickle with a F imprinted on the face. I have heard from the highest authorities that this nickle once belonged to an old Mormon priest who was shot down in cold blood. The perpetrator burned down the monistary, snatching a bag of ULTRA RARE Buffalo Head Nickles only to have them lost in time. I suspect that this could be one of the last few Mormon Blood Nickles left. Notice the cut on the face of the Nickle. That is where the robber would cut the Nickle as he sat by the campfire counting his spoils. I sent a guestion asking when all this happened but got no response. The question: As your little story has more than one 'Tip off to the Rip off' phrase I simply must ask, Where and when did this occur? The Response: All I know is what the man told me who I got it from. That is the story I was told and I'm sticking to it. Edited by Tryna 09/29/2015 2:44 pm

Each one of his sentences needs a "citation needed" at the end.

Apparently the legend never made it to the Internet, because a Google search for "Mormon Blood Nickel" brings up nada. I guess his so-called "higher authority" doesn't use the net.

What a story. Who cares about the coin.
Mormon monistary. Blood nickle.
Nice to know about the campfire cutting site too. A good potential site for detector finds if you could locate it.

For some reason I'm picturing this seller sitting outside under the moonlit sky eating peyote buttons while concocting this story.

As I live in an area with a large number of Catholics and Mormons, I can tell you one of those groups do not have monasteries.

I am thinking about making an offer on this item. Do you think $0.25 is a fair offer?

As a Mormon, this bit of comedy just made my day. The narrator has a much brighter future in campfire storytelling.

He has to differentiate his product from all those other 1936 nickels in order to get a buyer at the buy it now $99.99 price. That's salesmanship!
