The previous thread for this ebay auction was locked down by the moderators because the seller chose an ebay profile image that was not family friendly. But there is good news on a number of fronts! First of all, ebay seller tylmid.p0udm1 has changed his profile pic to a more appropriate one, even though it appears he is now burning in hades because of his original image. Second of all, he has graciously reduced his Buy It Now price from $99 to $10 for his "Very Rare - 1936 Mormon F Buffalo nickel," which he describes in the auction details as: Quote: This is an ULTRA RARE Buffalo Head Nickle with a F imprinted on the face. I have heard from the highest authorities that this nickle once belonged to an old Mormon priest who was shot down in cold blood. The perpetrator burned down the monistary, snatching a bag of ULTRA RARE Buffalo Head Nickles only to have them lost in time. I suspect that this could be one of the last few Mormon Blood Nickles left. Notice the cut on the face of the Nickle. That is where the robber would cut the Nickle as he sat by the campfire counting his spoils. Here is the link to the cleaned up ebay auction page: http://www.ebay.com/itm/231692969994And here is CCF's Tryna's original thread: https://goccf.com/t/241516

There's always a huckster out there trying to separate people from their money.

Actually, the perpetrator was Robin Hood, and he planned to give the nickels to the poor people in the village. He marked each with a cut, so he would know if any came back to him... Seriously though, I hope no one actually believes the story and pays probably twenty times what the coin is worth.

Quote: Still not very family friendly but better than the last I tried to look closely at his new profile pic, Cascade, and concluded that those are his index fingers that are raised.

Over night the seller ended the spurious auction, thus avoiding anyone being taken advantage of.

I have a couple hundred of the Mormon Blood Nickels my self. I know that is what they are because every one of them has an F stamped on the face. The robber even cut some of them on the back.

So, I guess my Buff with no "F" is pretty common, then?

I would have come up with this story... Very rare entertainment memorabilia coin: "The F is stamped on these nickles as they were given out to the cast and crew of F-Troop at the wrap party when the series was completed" Much more believable
