Hi, Recently added this to the collection, and trying to narrow down the specifics of the coin. I collect anything dated with a year ending in 82, so this is a fun addition despite the flaws.

I'm thinking it is Austrian. It is silver. The lettering of the reverse reads as AVSTRI DVX BVR ?TYRIZ 1582, hence the thought it is Austrian. The obverse reads as CAROLVS D?G ARCHIDVX, and I've seen some other coins of this period attributed to an Archduke Ferdinand II (1564-1595) with a very similar portrait on the obverse, but different reverses.

Does someone know more about this new member of the family? Thanks!

I think it's a coin of Archduke of Inner Austria Charles II ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charl...e_of_Austria ). I also found identical coin(not the same year) on a website that sells coins - http://www.poinsignon-numismatique....e_74854.html - this one is sold though.
