No way I would do this transaction on ebay.
For the seller, he's getting nailed with fees.
For the buyer, if I can't fly out there..no way.

Maximum ebay fee is $250, so high end seller knew their stuff.

The buyer is another story.

I can't believe some sucker actually bought one of these "monster boxes" sight unseen. I mean, we're talking over half a million dollars, a fortune for most people.

The saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" seems to fit the bill here, but the question is: how did the fool get so much money in the first place?

I love the terms. "Standard Delivery". Does that require a signature? Or can FED-EX just leave it on the porch.

And 14 day return, money back or item exchange. "yes, I would like to exchange this for 2 Lamborghinis, please."

$0 ebay buck! Bullion section.
And the maximum ebay buck is $100 per transaction, max out at $500 per quarter. Signature confirmation required at $750 for this sale, but ebay required item sold at $250 and above to have signature confirmation.
A monster box of gold should have better pricing, it is only advertising.

That's odd. I bought a Gold Maple Leaf on Thursday on ebay from APMEX. Got around 22$ in ebay bucks. Maybe it wasn't listed in the Bullion section?

I'd be inspecting every round in person. Way too much risk involved and I doubt there would be a buyer. Bad life choice here.
