Try Suntrust, PNC, UnitedBank, M&T. Bank of America is OK too. Avoid Citibank. TD is a waste of time.

Note that you are in an area that is heavily CRH hunted. It has a lot of attention because the DC area has a lot of younger people interested in CRH. Also the DC area doesn't have too many clusters of senior citizens or other "oldsters" that have the inventory and more likelihood to dump obsolete coins into the coinstream.

Boxes would work better for you than trying to obtain customer wrapped rolls.

I saw in a previous post that you already tried SunTrust. Scratch that off my list of suggested banks. I would focus on the "large but not too large" bank segment to open accounts and order boxes.

Happy hunting. Please post how you do.

First off, Sorry for late response.
Since this post I have had great success with boxes from TD bank, and have made some friends there after putting the manager in his place and embarressing him infront of his staff( he set himeslf up for that one though) I should say ive had luck rather than success. Averaging about 20-25 wheaties per box, and to my surprise an 1884 indian head in very good condition(I was more excited than a kid on christmas morning!). One box I opened must have been a collection dump... 2,001 wheaties out of the 2,500 (simply amazed). I have also met a teller outside my job on my lunch break today, who works at American Bank, very nice gentleman who said he could easily order me boxes of pennies like it was silly to have asked. He told me they have free account openings offered until december, Again feeling very lucky latley!

Thanks for mentioning this place as this is where I work (and was also born). I myself used to CRH a lot back during college prior to work and occasionally splurge upon doing it, but I'd definitely prefer boxes or ordering. I've asked out for halves at the Bank of America downtown and after maybe 25 visits, came up with maybe $75 in halves total, and BoA usually won't order. You may have better luck towards Baltimore (that's where I found most of my Franklin halves to eventually complete that set about ten years ago, and I'm planning on attending the coin show there next weekend) since there are fewer younger people, though still avoid Citi. I'm not surprised though at that Wheatie find, since although they aren't worth much money in most instances, this easily could have resulted in someone dumping their parents/grandparents' collection of wheates s/he collected.

The best finds from that box were 1913,1914,1915,1921D, a fair amount of 30's asswell. Also a 1951S that still had its shine. and one silver dime!

Im glad theres someone from my area on here yelimsexa! thanks for all the info! I am no longer a customer with BOA they liked to share my account info apparently, as it was hijacked several times, the card was never used aside from the ATM, someone must be tampering with their atms I assumed and told them. But they would always try to blame me. I used the one in Old town Takoma Park thats where I grew up! As far as age goes I still fall into the younger group. My body is much younger then my soul. itd be great to share stories with you yelimsexa shoot me an email if you can? I still cant seem to allow people to email me.
