Hi, I am currently checking out some Prussian coins. I am interested in the early 1900-14 pre wwi period. I wanted too know if there is a good place to find information, pictures about these coins. Is there a book or a website where I might find some information about this era of German history? Any help would be great. I'll post some pictures tomorrow of the couple that I have recently acquired.

If you are primarily interested in the larger sized coins then you may find John Davenport's German Talers since 1800 useful.

However, if your interest includes minor coins and gold, I would actually recommend the German States section of a Krause Standard Catalog or the Krause Standard Catalog of German Coins which simply combines the German portions of the World catalogs into a German focused volume.

You can find some reasonably good color photos at the Numista website. Just find the Prussia category and date range of interest to you.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll check those out. I mainly just want something that will show what was produced each year.
