Is this a type two . I got this one and I thought it was cause how rounded the tail of the s is. ?

1981-Type-2-S.b.a

Also do all coins in a 1981 type 1 or type 2 have to be type 1 or 2 or can they be mixed?

This is the half so I'm thinking they all have to be type 1 or 2 and the half doesn't look like a type 2 opinions please

I believe your SBA is a type I mm, the upper serif is not "bulb" shaped like a type II

Note the ends of the lower serifs is the best way tell the differences:
1981-Type-2-S.b.a
The lower serif is flat on the type one. The type 2 is rounded.

From what I can recall if one in the set is a type I then they would all be type 1's and vice versa but somebody correct me if I'm wrong

They can be either mixed into the same holder, or all the same. The luck of the draw.
