It looks like the top of the rim got hit and pushed the copper off the rim into the edge field, nice pics tough.

I'm with Kid - rolled over rim finning that's been in circulation for a bit removing the looser bits of the fin.

Just looked at edge and it's normal. Hardly any dings and nice and flat not rounded.I think coop called it something

Looks like a small lamination to me, location makes it a tough call

It looks like a lamination issue, but more of a struck through a piece of thin metal onto the coin. If you were able to pull up a small part of the rim in that area, it would be shiny if that was the case. It might be a flattened fin. But either bay it is now a circulated coin.

I'm not sure if you guys noticed or not, (I missed it the first time) it is on both the top and bottom of the coin. It may have went all the way around at one time.
